Member Competitions

The Race

  • Races last for 1,000 laps (visits) which is aproximately 3 hours. A new race starts imediately after the completion of the previous race.
  • To compete in the race, watch as you surf and perform all required pit stops.
  • Pit stops are random, but are designed to occur on average about once every 100 laps.
  • At the end of the race, bonus credits are awarded based on the number of Pit Stops completed vs the number of Pit Stops Missed.
  • Each driver that completes 10 Pit Stops, with No Missed Pit Stops, is rewarded by having a random admin sponsored member added to their team.

    LC: Lap Counter
  • This is the Lap Counter, or the number of sites visited since the start of the race.
  • The Lap Counter is set to zero for all drivers at the start of every race.

    PS: Pit Stops
  • This is the number of Pit Stops that you have completed. There is a maximum of 10 Pit Stops that can be completed each race. Each Pit Stop that you complete adds 0.05 points to your DLE

    DLE: Driver Lap Earning
  • This is your Driver Lap Earning or how many credits you earn for each lap. This increases by 0.05 every time you complete a Pit Stop and is reduced by 0.05 every time you miss a Pit Stop.
  • As a free member your DLE is 0.40. That is, you earn 0.40 credits for every lap (site visited).
  • For free members your DLE starts at 0.40. For each Pit Stop completed, your DLE increases by 0.05 to a maximum of 1.40.
  • For pro members your DLE starts at 0.80. For each Pit Stop completed, your DLE increases by 0.05 to a maximum of 1.80.
  • If you miss a Pit Stop then your DLE is reduced by 0.05
  • In other words, your true DLE = ((PS:-MPS:) x 0.05)+0.40 for free members and ((PS:-MPS:) x 0.05)+0.80 for pro members.

    MPS: Missed Pit Stops
  • This is how many Pit Stops you have missed. When you arrive at a Pit Stop page, you will see this increment by one.
  • When you complete your Pit Stop, your PS: MPS: and DLE: are updated as you exit the pit area and return to the race.

    LPR: Licence Points Remaining
  • You must have a Current Licence to race.
  • You gain your licence by joining and adding quality sites for other members to view. We recommend you add a variety of quality sites, as they will be seen a lot by other members. I am sure you do not wish to contribute to boredom and driver fatigue so keep your sites unique, interesting and fast loading.
  • If your sites break our terms, you lose points off your licence.
  • You get a fresh start of 12 points at the beginning of every month. You lose points for the following offences.
  • Site not found = 1 point
  • Popups that open another window = 2 points per popup.
  • Popups or error message boxes that stop rotation = 3 points.
  • Live agent or message boxes that require multiple clicks to close = 4 points.
  • Sites that break the surfing frame = 5 points.
  • It is the drivers responsibility to make sure that his/her sites are clean and a plea of ignorance will not be considered.
  • If you lose 12 or more points in a 30 day period, or if you have no active sites, your DLE will be set to the base earnings.
  • Any driver may appeal for their licence points to be re-instated but this will incur a court cost of 500 credits and a good behavior bond.

Hint #1: Complete Pit Stops early in the race and complete as many laps as possible while your DLE is at the maximum.

Hint #2: Watch closely for Pit Stops especially at the start of the race or when your Lap Counter (LC:) is low.

  • Note:
The Race is designed to encourage members to watch as they surf. If you do not watch and you miss more Pit Stops than you complete, your DLE: is set to the minimum level. You are also removed from the leader board and you receive no bonus at the end of the race. If for example you complete 5 Pit Stops, but miss 6 or more, your benefits are lost until you complete at least as many Pit Stops as you have missed. This allows you to redeem yourself as a driver, should you forget to pull over (pause) when you answer your mobile phone. It is also designed to stop members from Driving in their sleep.
